d=dan  age
t=tim age
d is 4 times as old as tim
d=4t

8 years from now (d+8 and t+8)
sum is 71
d+8+t+8=71
d+t+16=71
minus 16
d+t=55
sub d=4t
4t+t=55
5t=55
divide both sides by 5
t=11
sub back
d=4t
d=4(11)
d=44

dan is 44 and tim is 11
