A metal pipe is 33 3 /4 inches long. If you cut the pipe into pieces that are each 3 3 /4 inches long, how many total pieces will you have?

3 3/4 = 15/4

We have to deal with each rod since they are not combined.

24/(15/4) = 24(4/15) = 32/5 = 6 2/5

The 2/5 is waste.

6(32) = 192 pieces
