1 = (4x - 1)(4x + 12)

Use FOIL method.

1 = 4x * 4x  + 4x *12 - 1 * 4x - 1*12

1 = 16x² + 48x - 4x - 12

1 = 16x² + 44x -12

0 = 16x² + 44x - 12 -1

16x² + 44x - 13 = 0
