What is a difference between a law and a hypothesis?

A hypothesis is an educated guess. It refers to a theory you have based on some sort of evidence you collected or noticed. It is not fact and can sometimes be proven wrong. A law would refer to a scientific fact that has been proven correct and is a fact about the subject.
