3 CDs = $26.77
1CD = $26.77 ÷ 3 = $8.92 (nearest hundredth)

All you have to do is divide the total money by the amount of cds. 26.77/3=8.9233. This would round to $8.92 because you need to round the the hundredth place, or pennies.
