Early in part two, montag realizes what made clarisse so likeable. what was it?

Clarisse makes other people feel like they matter. Montag realizes that Clarisse is more interested in learning about others than about herself. Montag says that she was the first person to look at him as if he had counted. 
We see the contrast to this when he is with his wife who tells him all about what she watches on television and her own time with her friends than ask him about his day.
